Welcome to Aber Medical Centre Online
Aber Medical Centre is based over 3 areas - Abertridwr, Bedwas and Llanbradach; with our main site being in the heart of the Abertridwr village. Patients have access to 4 Partners, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistant and phlebotomy, with a wide range of other clinical and non clinical services available.
The surgery website is used to present all our patients with up to date news and information about our practice. We will keep it current with any developments or other details that we feel are relevant to you.
As well as a source of information about our practice, the staff and the services we provide, we hope you will use this website as a useful resource for other health-related information.
Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like. We can use your ideas to improve our online services and further develop the content of this site.
If you need to see a GP while the surgery is closed you can contact Gwent Out of Hours - 111. This is for emergencies only: to be used when you cannot wait to see your own GP the next working day. They will also provide you with medical advise or you can speak with your local pharmacist who can provide advise and basic medications.

CORONAVIRUS
If you are experiencing any covid symptoms - please do not attend the surgery - follow current guidelines.
While it is no longer a requirement to wear masks in all Health Care setting, we ask that you consider continuing to do so; this will protect both staff and vulnerable patients.
APPOINTMENTS
Our appointment system is changing; as of 7th June you can now pre-book an appointment with a GP up to 2 weeks in advance. E-consult will still be available from 8am Monday to Friday but will terminate once our allocated amount has been reached each day. Same day emergency appointments will be available but please note these are for emergencies only.
Where appropriate, we advise patients to appropriately navigate their queries - for example dental issues to a dentist, eye complaints to opticians both of which offer emergency appointments, and most common ailments can be dealt with at your local Pharmacy.
Thank you all for your help and understanding. Keep Safe!!
